Grilled Feta & Roasted Red Pepper Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 4 oz Feta cheese
  • 3 jarred roasted peppers in oil, drained and chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 of a large sweet onion or 1/2 of a small, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 avocado
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • sea salt to taste
  • 1 lime

Directions:

Preheat grill to medium-high heat, combine the first 8 ingredients, mix and form burger patties. This recipe will make 6 to 8 burgers (depending on size you prefer). Once grill is hot, cook burgers 4 to 5 minutes a side. In the meantime, slice some avocado and sprinkle with sea salt and some lime. Next, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and garlic powder, mix together. Once burgers are cooked, top with mayo sauce and avocado and serve. If you wish to grill buns for the burgers, place them on the grill for 1-2 minutes (keep an eye on them as the can quickly burn).
